If we do not preserve our film and photographs now, they will fade away forever.
When reading this first section "Family Dog", please be patient. I am an old guy who has done more creative writing than technical. I have been working with Photoshop since version 2.5, and I tend to jump directly into the meat of a subject without much of an introduction of the prior steps involved to come to a conclusion of the project. I am working on my skills, but the books listed on the Photoshop page are highly recommended as a prerequisite. With that mind please proceed.
The first example "Family Dog" was a very challenging effort restoring the Kodak Slide collection my father started in the 50's and 60's. Proper storage would have helped, but Henry Wilhelm with Carol Brower have written "See a.)". The book explains in detail why certain films and prints fade and deteriorate. Don't let the date sway your purchase.
The example of the "family dog" is a good example of a Color Slide with and washed out red channel.
